Our Story
Alex is the founder of Welobster and a former professional baseball player who played shortstop for various MLB teams, including the Toronto Blue Jays. For more than 13 years, he embraced the grind of being a top professional athlete.
He trained extensively, conditioned his body, and played countless times throughout a long 162-game season. But the grind of baseball is nothing compared to the life of a fisherman.
Alex’s respect for fishermen grew as he learned how to fish and catch lobsters. His skills developed and his love for fishing grew. He wishes for everybody to try out his products because he knows what goes into harvesting them and how delicious they are.
Fishing is in Alex’s blood, just as baseball is, and he believes this is what makes him a productive lobsterman.
Delivering Decades of Fishing Experience
Welobsters' fishermen have over 30 years of experience and have been in commercial fishing for over a decade. Using their boat “Rally Cap,” they harvest Gulf of Maine lobsters out of New Hampshire.
Their team adheres to sustainable ways of harvesting, processing, and packing seafood. Moreover, their team eliminates the need for a middleman and gets the food you love from their shore straight to your doorstep.
